No 2 Campbell Knocks Off No. 7 Presbyterian in Double Overtime

Elyssa Nowowieski netted the game-winner in double overtime to lift Campbell past Presbyterian 3-2 Saturday night at Eakes Athletics Complex in the Big South Conference Tournament Quarterfinals.
 
No. 2 seeded Campbell will move on to face No. 3 Radford in the semifinals on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Matthews, N.C.
 
In the 105th minute, Alexa Genas played the ball to Nowowieski in the box where she finished with her right foot to the upper 90. The rookie's goal marked her fourth of the season.
 
Rosie O'Neal scored the opening mark in the 32nd minute on a double assists from Nowowieski and Katie Lockwood on a through ball.
 
PC answered with a pair of goals from Morgan Hutchinson in the 42nd minute and another in the 56th minute by Kori Lawrence to give the Blue Hose (4-6-0) the 2-1 advantage.
 
Alexa Genas equalized in the 68th minute when she took the feed on the corner kick from Amber Liston and met the cross with her head for her 13th goal of the season. The goal moved her one goal away from tying Campbell's second highest all-time leading scorer Ashley Clark and into sole possession of fifth place on the Big South all-time scoring list.
 
Reaghan Duval picked up her eighth win of the season by allowing two goals to pair with one save over 110 minutes of action.
 
The win marks the sixth straight year the Camels have advanced to the Big South Conference Semifinals.
