No. 3 Campbell Sweeps No. 6 Charleston Southern to Reach Semifinals
ROCK HILL, S.C. — The third-seeded Campbell University Fighting Camels hit a combined .352 in the Big South Championship quarterfinals to sweep the No. 7 seed Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Friday night inside Winthrop Coliseum.

Both Sarah Colla and Lailah Green posted 11 kills in Campbell's first postseason victory since 2016, which was also a quarterfinal win over Charleston Southern. Colla only committed two errors across 18 attacks for a .500 attacking percentage, while Green posted a .333 mark.
Allena Heath added nine kills, with both Melody Paige and Ananda Patterson posting five kills.
Campbell setter Madee Miner posted three kills, her second consecutive match with three or more kills. The North Branch, Mich., native also paired 15 assists with a team-high 13 digs for her ninth double-double this year.
Elyse Gross also helped pace the CU defense, recording nine digs; Green added eight digs.
Emily Mitter dished out 21 assists, tying her highest assist total in a three-set match this season, while Gross helped the distribute the attacks with five assists.
Campbell held Charleston Southern to a .118 hitting percentage, including a .000 mark in the final set, which featured nine Buccaneer errors. Meanwhile, in the second set, the Camels posted a .560 mark, only committing two errors with 16 kills.
The No. 3 seed Fighting Camels will face the second-seeded High Point Panthers in the Big South Championship semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. The winner of the match between CU and HPU will earn a spot in Sunday's championship match, which is scheduled for 4 p.m.
