Big South Men's Soccer Among Preseason National Honors
Big South men's soccer is among several national preseason honors listings for the 2022 campaign, including College Soccer News, TopDrawerSoccer.com and the United Soccer Coaches association.
Earning Preseason All-America honors from College Soccer News are Campbell's
Moses Mensah (2nd Team) and
Tyler Young (3rd Team). TopDrawerSoccer.com's Preseason Best XI Team features Mensah (2nd Team), Campbell's
Kemy Amiche (3rd Team) and High Point's
Holden Trent (3rd Team). In addition, HPU's
Jefferson Amaya is among the Freshman Best XI.
Meanwhile, Amiche and Young are among the United Soccer Coaches Association's National Midfielders Watch List, while Mensah is on the National Defenders Watch List. The lists are being released for the first time this season by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second team All-Region players from 2021, who are scheduled to return for the 2022 season.
