BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Former Campbell standout
Kemy Amiche has been claimed by Nashville SC of Major League Soccer. Amiche is the third member of the 2022 Big South regular season champion to join an MLS organization this year along with SuperDraft selections Tyler Young (Atlanta United) and Moses Mensah (Real Salt Lake).
In 34 matches over two seasons, Amiche helped the Camels win three trophies. As a freshman in 2021, he scored seven goals and added 11 assists for the Big South double winner that advanced to the NCAA College Cup first round.
"We are very excited for Kemy and his contract with Nashville SC of MLS," said Campbell head coach Dustin Fonder. "It is always a tricky path for an international underclassman to get signed by an MLS team. However, he is a special player and fully deserves this opportunity! Campbell soccer has proven to be a great pathway to pro soccer and Kemy is the latest to join the ranks."
This past fall, Amiche was named second-team All-South for the second-straight year despite missing seven games due to injury this fall. A two-time first-team all-conference (2021, 2022) and Big South all-tournament choice, Amiche led the Big South in points (23), while ranking second in goals (9) and T5th in assists (5).
The sophomore winger from Goussainville, France scored twice in the Big South semifinal win over Presbyterian, just eight days after tallying two goals in the regular season finale against the Blue Hose. He scored the game-winning goal vs. No. 12 UNCG.
Over his two-year Campbell career, the former French U-17 national team captain tallied 48 points on 16 goals and 16 assists.
