Big South Announces Men's Golfer of the Week - Oct. 19
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Presbyterian College’s
Jack Wofford (Greenville, S.C.) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 12-18, it was announced today.
Wofford was the medalist at the Elon Phoenix Invitational (par 71, 6,871 yards) with a 14-under 199 (67-66-66) -- becoming the first PC men’s golfer to claim a tournament title since 2013. He won by three strokes, led the field with 20 birdies (eight in round one, five in round two and seven in round three), and helped the Blue Hose tie for third in the 16-team field. Wofford played the par-4 holes at 9-under, and was -8 on the par 5 layouts.
