Another three sweeps and five-setter for Gardner-Webb were the results of Saturday's Big South volleyball action.

The Radford volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep of UNC Asheville for the second time this season with a dominant performance inside the Justice Center on Saturday afternoon. Marking a huge road win for the Highlanders, they now stand at 4-14 overall with a 3-6 record in the Big South. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs drop to 6-17 on the season and 0-9 against conference foes.

The High Point Panthers rounded out a road streak with the team's ninth sweep since starting conference play. Earning the 3-0 victory over the Spartans of USC Upstate, HPU remains undefeated in sets with a 27-0 set record against Big South opponents. Dylan Maberry initiated the attack for the Panthers earning some early kills. Tying the game at eight all with a kill from BayLea Sparks, the Spartans soon took a 14-10 lead over HPU. Back-to-back kills from Sparks and Maberry cut it to 14-12. A three-point stretch from USC Upstate followed by a three-point stretch from High Point made it 20-16 with the Spartans still in the lead.

Winthrop won its seventh straight match by defeating Charleston Southern at home by a final score of 3-0 (25-14, 25-7, 25-23). Isabella Murray (2 aces, 18 assists, 9 digs) led the way for the Eagles, followed by Brookelynn Thomas with 13 kills, Rylie McMahen with three aces, Lexie Vick with two blocks, and Madison Gorniak with 13 digs.

Led by a career day from freshman outside hitter Madison Smith, the Gardner-Webb volleyball squad battled from a 2-0 set deficit to split the season series with Presbyterian College, Saturday, October 21 in Big South action. Smith recorded a total of 63 attacks, placing the Winter Garden, Florida native tied for sixth all-time in attack attempts with Kylee Garrison from 2021. Smith also nabbed her sixth double-double of her career collecting career-highs in kills with 25 and digs with 15. She also hit an impressive .254 hitting percentage.
