High Point picked up three points in the standings on Monday night with a 2-1 win at Radford and took over sole possession of first-place at 2-0-0.

It was back and forth play for the first 20 minutes of the first half. All it took was Cooper Lindfelt sending the ball from midfield to the left corner to find Noah Holmes. Holmes took control of the ball beating a defender and a sliding goalie, sending the ball to the back of an open net. This was the goal Holmes was waiting for as he notched his first of the season to give HPU a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. That took the match to the end of the first half.
