CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – Charleston Southern graduate student Jaden Kingsley (Chapin, S.C.) has been named the 2023 Big South Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, it was announced today by the Conference office.

Kingsley finished 20th at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a career-best 10K time of 29:35.7.  The performance earned him All-Region Team honors following the race, becoming the second Buccaneer to claim a spot on the list.  In October, Kingsley recorded a 6th-place finish at the Big South Championships with an 8K time of 24:33.4 to earn First-Team All-Conference status -- becoming just the 16th four-time All-Conference runner in Big South history.  His finish helped Charleston Southern seal its fourth consecutive Big South Championship title as well as the team’s third meet victory of the 2023 season.  Kingsley’s other top races this fall include sixth-place at the Upstate Invitational (24:28.0 in the 8K) and seventh at the Buccaneer Open (19:11.3 in the 6K).
