Big South Announces Men's Golfers of the Week - Nov. 9

Alec Prentice (Wellington, New Zealand) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week, while Presbyterian’s
Gage Howard (Woodruff, S.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week for events played Nov. 2-8, it was announced today.
Prentice won the Big South Preview (par 71, 6,393 yards) with a 6-under 136 (65-71). His opening-round 65 (-6) tied for the second-lowest round in program history by score, and tied for third-lowest round in program history relative to par. Prentice tied for the tournament lead in par-3 scoring (-1) and par-5 scoring (-6), while leading the tournament in total birdies with 12.
Howard made his season debut at the Big South Preview, and tied for seventh in the 29-player field with a 1-over 143 (73-70) playing as an individual. He recorded nine birdies and tied for the top spot in par-3 scoring.
