Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - Nov. 9

Neza Siftar (Ljubljana, Slovenia) has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, while Winthrop’s
Constanca Mendonca (Lisboa, Portugal) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week for events played Nov. 2-8, it was announced today.
Siftar won the Big South Preview (par 72, 6,002 yards) with a 1-under 143 (70-73). She won by two strokes at the Fripp Island Ocean Creek course, led the 30-player field with eight birdies, tied for the top spot in par-5 scoring (-2) and recorded her Big South-leading fifth Top 10 finish of the fall season.
Mendonca finished fourth at the Big South Preview with a 4-over 148 (72-76). She was one of four players to finish par or better in a round, her 25 pars tied for second-most in the event, and she helped the Eagles finish second in the team standings.
