Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - Feb. 16

Isabella Hahne (Kungsbacka, Sweden) and USC Upstate’s
Preaw Nontarux (Lampang, Thailand) have been named the Big South Women’s Co-Golfer of the Week, while Radford’s
Shea Smith (Charlotte, N.C.) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week for events played Feb. 9-15, it was announced today.
Hahne and Nontarux tied for medalist honors at the Seabest Intercollegiate at San Jose Country Club (par 72, 6,084 yards) at 1-under 215. Hahne (70-76-69) and Nontarux (75-73-67) were the lone golfers in the 75-player field to finish in red numbers. Hahne led the field with 11 birdies, tied for second in par-3 scoring (-1) and helped the Camels win the team title. Nontarux’s final round 67 was the lowest in the tournament, she was tops in par-5 scoring (-4) and tallied eight birdies in addition to one eagle.
Smith was 3-0 at the Oyster Shuck Match Play against UNC Greensboro, Appalachian State and The Citadel. She first defeated her UNCG opponent, 2UP, then posted a 2UP finish against her Appalachian State foe. Smith wrapped her week with a 5&4 final round victory over her competitor from The Citadel, which helped the Highlanders earn a 4.5-0.5 match play win over the Bulldogs.
