Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - Feb. 9

Laerke Jensen (Hobro, Denmark) has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, with High Point’s
Freja Ekman (Copenhagen, Denmark) earning the Women’s Freshman of the Week honor for events played Feb. 2-8, it was announced today.
Jensen won the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic (par 72, 5,971 yards) with a 6-over 222 (73-75-74). She jumped three spots in the final round to win the event by two strokes. Jensen led the field in par-3 scoring (even), and made the second-most birdies with eight.
Ekman won both of her matches against UNC Greensboro in the Battle of the Triad Match Play event. She first claimed a 5&4 victory on the first day, and posted a 3&2 win on the final day.
