CHARLOTTE, N.C. In addition, Winthrop midfielder Scarlet Cifarelli (Long Beach, N.Y.) has been named the Freshman of the Week.

Edmisten combined for seven goals and one assist in leading Presbyterian to a pair of one-goal victories last week. She also tallied four ground balls, one draw control and two caused turnovers. Edmisten began the week with a hat trick, three ground balls, one draw control and two caused turnovers while scoring the ultimate game-winner with 3:56 remaining to lift the Blue Hose over Akron on Tuesday, 10-9. She then posted five points on four goals and one assist in an 11-10 win over Kent State on Thursday, with three goals coming in the second half to help overcome a late four-score deficit.

Pizzo racked up career-highs with seven ground balls and four draw controls, along with a season-high five caused turnovers for Mercer in a commanding 20-9 victory over Kennesaw State on Sunday. It marked the third consecutive game for the Bears holding an opponent to single-digit goal totals. Pizzo has now set new career-highs for ground balls in back-to-back contests.

Cifarelli played the role of hero for Winthrop in its lone game last week as the Long Beach, N.Y. native scored a golden goal in triple overtime to beat Butler on Sunday, 10-9.
