Longwood Leads Men's Golf Championship After 36 Holes

Bryce Corbett posted a 6-under 66 in the second round to vault 23 spots into a tie for first-place with Winthrop's
Ian Faulconer at 3-under 141. Faulconer was tied for first-place after the morning's opening 18 holes at 3-under 69 with High Point's
Charlie Barr.
Following Corbett and Faulconer are Longwood's
Nick Rakes (3rd - 142), and Barr, Charleston Southern's
Ben Carroll and Campbell's
Henrik Lilja in a fourth-place tie at 143. Longwood's
Brendan Dunphy and USC Upstate's
Brady Hinkle share seventh-place at even-par 144 heading into Tuesday's final round.
Charleston Southern and Radford are tied for second on the team leaderboard at 582. Winthrop holds the fourth position at 586 -- three strokes ahead of fifth-place Campbell at 589. Gardner-Webb is five shots behind the Camels at 594. The top four teams following 54 holes will advance to Wednesday's match play semifinals and finals, with the winner earning the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Regionals.
Corbett, who finished third in last year's championship, leads the event with 12 birdies. His six-under par 66 Monday afternoon included nine birdies.
Tuesday's final round will begin at 8:00am with all play off hole 1. The individual Medalist will earn automatic entry to the NCAA Regionals.
