High Point's Sarah Kahn Ties for Sixth at NCAA Raleigh Regional

RALEIGH, N.C. – Graduate student Sarah Kahn wrapped up the NCAA Women's Golf Regional in Raleigh on Wednesday afternoon. After a steady performance over the three-day event, Kahn remained in the top 10 throughout, finishing with a two-under par 214 for a sixth-place tie on the leaderboards.
Kahn becomes the first member of the HPU women's golf program to finish in the top 10 at the NCAA Regionals.
In the final round of the NCAA Regional, Kahn picked up where she left off from the days before, carding three birdies on the front nine. Before making the turn, Kahn hit her first bogey on the day but still scored a two-under 34 on the first half of the 18. On the back nine, Kahn recorded six pars and two birdies to round out the final day with a one-under 71 for a top 10 finish.
In the individual category, Chattanooga's Dorota Zalewska held her position in the lead to take home the individual title after carding a 12-under 204 for the week. Virginia Tech's, Morgan Ketchum moved up in the leaderboards for a fourth-place finish just two strokes ahead of Kahn.
As for the team's competing, N.C. State took home the first-place title with an overall seven-under 857. The University of Arizona slid in at second, the No. 2 ranked Wake Forest took third, while TCU made big moves on the day to bump up into fourth. The final team to advance was Florida State, beating Arizona State by three strokes.
This concludes the NCAA Regionals, as the top five teams will move on to the NCAA Women's Golf Championship's in Scottsdale, Arizona along with Chattanooga's Dorota Zalewska.
