SALEM, S.C. – Kicking off the first NCAA Regional appearance in program history, Bryce Corbett shot a 1-over par 73 and is tied for 49th through one round of play at The Cliffs at Keowee Falls.

Teeing off on the first hole while some others in the field started their day on the 10th hole, Corbett kept his nerves in check and shot for par to get the round under way.

The second hole caused him some trouble however, as he needed seven strokes to hit the bottom of the cup on the Par 5, 582-yard challenge. The Big South individual champion then bounced back quickly, sinking his first birdie of the day on the third hole.

A bogey on the fifth hole and another double bogey on the 10th hole pushed Corbett down the leaderboard, but he regrouped and finished extremely strong.

The junior birdied three of the final eight holes down the stretch to shoot a -1 on the back nine and end the day with a solid score of +1.

No. 35 Arkansas leads the pack at -22 as a team while No. 2 North Carolina's Ryan Burnett sits atop the player leaderboard at -9. The course produced a wide range of scores on the day, with numbers going from his -9 all the way to a trio of +7's.
