SALEM, S.C. – Bryce Corbett battled through the heat all day on Tuesday, carding seven birdies en route to a 2-under par 70 in the second round of the NCAA Salem Regionals. His performance lifted him 12 spots on the individual leaderboard and into a tie for 37th.

The Highlander started his day with a pair of birdies on the first two holes before experiencing a somewhat up-and-down rest of the front nine that featured three bogeys and two more birdies.

Then, after needing just three swings on the Par 4 10th hole, Corbett hit his tee shot wide and left a putt just short, leading to his only double bogey of the day.

Needing to find some consistency to get back on track, the junior posted four straight pars on the 12th through 15th hole to maintain his position.

Keeping with what we've come to expect from him, Corbett turned it on down the stretch and ended his round with two birdies in the final three holes.

At -1 overall now, Corbett can thank his play on Par 4's where he is shooting 3-under, and also Par 5's where he's at -2. It's the Par 3's that are proving the most challenging, with a score of +4 on those holes.

Bryce heads back to the course and tees off at 10:01 a.m. for the third and final round of the NCAA Salem Regional.
