Campbell Sits 10th After 18 Holes of NCAA Raleigh Regional

RALEIGH, N.C. – Isabella Hahne is tied for 10th individually and Campbell is 10th in the team standings after Monday's opening round of the NCAA Raleigh Regional at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
The Big South Conference freshman of the year, Hahne shot a one-under par 71 on the par-72 Arnold Palmer signature design. Fifth-year senior Tomita Arejola shot a one-over 73 and is tied for 29th heading into Tuesday's second round. Junior Sanna Lundmark is T46 (76), freshman Taylah Ellems T50 (77) and senior Patricia Garre Munoz 65th (82).
Host NC State leads the 12-team event at 6-under par 282, one stroke ahead of No. 14 Florida State (283) and two clear of No. 11 Arizona State (284). Arizona (286) is fourth and Purdue (287) fifth.
Campbell finished at nine-over (297), seven strokes behind sixth place Florida and five shots off the pace of second-ranked Wake Forest and TCU. The top five teams (and top individual from non-qualifying teams) from each of six regional sites will advance to the NCAA Championship May 19-24 at Grayhawk Golf Club (Raptor Course) in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Hahne's day included three birdies and two bogeys. She birdied her ninth and 10th holes of the day (the par-four 18th and par-five first), then closed her round with eight-straight pars. Arejola made two birdies, three bogeys and 15 pars on the day.
Lauren Olivares of NC State and Lottie Wood of Florida State are the first round individual leaders at 5-under 67.
Including second-ranked Wake Forest, the Raleigh Regional features four teams ranked among the nation's top 25, and five more in the top 50, including No. 46 and host NC State.
Campbell will be paired with North Texas and Richmond for Tuesday's second round and start from the 10th tee at 9:06 a.m. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
