High Point's Sarah Kahn Remains in Top 10 Following Second Round of NCAA Regional

RALEIGH, N.C. – Graduate student Sarah Kahn competed in round two of the NCAA Women's Golf Regional on Tuesday, May 9th. She remains in the top 10 following day two, staying in a tie at 9th place after carding an even-par 72 for an overall one-under par 143.
In round two of the NCAA Regional's, Kahn kicked the day off with a birdie on her opening hole. Experiencing some difficulty on the next hole, she worked her way back to even par two holes later. Before making the turn to the back nine, Kahn carded a one-over 37 on the front. Two back-to-back birdies on the opening back nine set her one-under as the 553-yard hole No. 11 gave her no trouble. In the final seven holes, Kahn shot even par on six of the seven, with one bogey on hole No. 12.
In the individual category, Chattanooga's Dorota Zalewska moved up two places overall into first. She leads all individuals after carding a solid, six-under par 66 in round two for an overall nine-under 135. Virginia Tech's, Morgan Ketchum also moved up in the leaderboards, sliding in at a tie for seventh place overall with a two-under par 70. UNCW's Mallory Fobes who was tied with Kahn following round one, dropped 23 spots for a tie in 32nd.
As for the team's competing, N.C. State still holds on to the first-place spot with a six-under 570 while Arizona State moved up a place into second, trailing by two strokes to the Wolfpack. The No. 2 ranked Wake Forest made moves, bumping up four places with an overall one-over par 577 for the week.
The final round will take place on Wednesday, May 10th beginning at 8:00 am. Kahn will tee off at 8:55 am.
