Big South Announces Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week - Sept. 20

Adam Hessler (Freedom, Pa.) has been named the Big South Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while teammate
Jonas Roach (Blacksburg, Va.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week for meets ran Sept. 14-17, it was announced today.
Hessler finished second out of 129 runners at the Covered Bridge 8K with a personal-best time of 24:20.84. It was the second-fastest 8K time in program history, and he led the Bulldogs to a third-place finish in the 13-team field.
Roach finished 44th at the Covered Bridge with an 8K time of 26:00.44 and was Asheville’s sixth-best runner at the meet to help the Bulldogs finish in third with 86 team points.
