Big South Announces Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Jan. 31

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – The Big South Conference announced today its Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for competitions during the weekend of Jan. 26-28.
 
Charleston Southern’s 4x400-meter relay team was selected as the Women’s Track Athletes of the Week, while High Point pole vaulter Sydney Horn (Lancaster, Pa.) earned Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honors.
 
CSU’s quartet of Amaya Johnson, Jewel Ash, Grenisha Thomas and Dylann Core finished fourth in the 4x400-meter relay at the Bob Pollock Invitational with a school-record time of 3:42.38.  It is the third-fastest 4x400 effort in Big South history.
 
Horn won the pole vault at the Riverhawk Invitational in Boston with a winning clearance of 4.20m for her first victory of the year.
