Big South Announces Men's Golfers of the Week - Oct. 3

Jack Boyer (Greensboro, N.C.) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week, while teammate
Reed Burton (Shelby, N.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week honoree for events played Sept. 26-Oct. 2, it was announced today.
Boyer tied for ninth at the weather-shortened Ironwood Collegiate Classic (par 72, 7,120 yards) with a 6-under 138 (69-69) to lead Gardner-Webb to a sixth-place team finish. He drained six birdies in the first round and added four in the second round en route to his second Top 10 finish in as many starts.
Burton also tied for ninth at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic at 6-under 138 (66-72). His opening round 66 was a collegiate-low and bogey-free, as he sank six birdies -- including four-straight on the front nine. Burton tallied three birdies in the second round to complete his first Top 10 standing.
