Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - Oct. 3

Macy Johnson (Salem, Va.) has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, while High Point’s
Anais Arafi (Birsfelden, Switzerland) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week for events played Sept. 26-Oct. 2, it was announced today.
Johnson won the weather-shortened Pirate Collegiate Classic (par 72, 5,991 yards) with an 8-under 136 (70-66). She won by three strokes, and her 6-under 66 in the second round broke the program record for lowest 18-hole score. Johnson birdied seven of her final 10 holes of the tournament and finished with 13 birdies overall.
Arafi tied for eighth at the Pirate Collegiate Classic with a 1-over 145 (72-73). It marked her first collegiate Top 10 finish, and she was second on the squad in scoring. Arafi carded five birdies and an eagle to help the Panthers capture the team title.
