Big South Announces Men's Golfers of the Week - Nov. 6

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – USC Upstate’s Alec Prentice (Wellington, New Zealand) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week, while Presbyterian’s Richard Anaclerio (Aiken, S.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week for events played the final week of the fall season, it was announced today. 

Prentice tied for first at the Fripp Island Invitational (par 71, 6,586 yards) with a 7-under 206 (70-63-73).  His second round 63 tied the program record for lowest 18-hole score.  Prentice played the par-5 layouts at 7-under (4.42 average), drained the most birdies with 14, and recorded an eagle.  He helped the Spartans win the team title.
 
Anaclerio tied for fifth at the Fripp Island Invitational with a 1-under 212 (72-69-71) for his first career Top 10 finish.  His second round 69 was a collegiate-low, he was -1 on par-3 holes, and totaled nine birdies overall.
