GARDNER-WEBB 6, CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 1 | BOX SCORE
The Gardner-Webb University softball team bested Charleston Southern in their three-game series finale on Saturday by a final score of 6-1. The Runnin' Bulldogs had a pair of big innings that were the difference in the ballgame.  The Buccaneers struck first in the third inning getting one across on an error. Gardner-Webb responded in the bottom of the third as Adrienne Visintine doubled to score Jailyn Tineo and Emily Garcia. Ella Christopher then flew out to leftfield allowing Vistintine to score on a throwing error.

RADFORD 7, WINTHROP 3 | BOX SCORE
WINTHROP 11, RADFORD 10 | BOX SCORE
Game 1 - Similar to the first game of the series between the Highlanders and Eagles, it was Radford who struck first with a homer in the first inning. After Lexie Roberts started her big day with an infield single, Kari Shedrick stayed hot with a homer to center, her third straight game with a long shot.  Up 2-0, starting pitcher Chloe Greene kept the Eagles at bay with clean first, second and third innings. The Eagles would get a run back in the fourth to tighten things at 2-1, but Radford responded in kind in the bottom half.

Game 2 - Winthrop capped off the day with a thrilling 11-10 victory thanks to a seventh-inning grand slam by Megan Powell.  Radford made it a two-run game in the sixth as Jones led off with a home run to right.  That home run sparked a six-run inning as the Highlanders took the lead, 10-7.  Emma Jackson led off the seventh with a single to left followed by a single from Reese Basinger.  KaDedra  Temple singled up the middle to load the bases with no outs.  Powell stepped up and took a 2-2 pitch over the fence in left for a grand slam to put the Eagles back on top 11-10.

PRESBYTERIAN 6, LONGWOOD 1 | BOX SCORE
LONGWOOD 8, PRESBYTERIAN 0 | BOX SCORE
Game 1 - It was a doubleheader that could be categorized by a tale of two games for the Presbyterian College softball team, shutting down Longwood in the first half of a Saturday doubleheader for a 6-1 win and one-all series tie only for the home side to come roaring back in the finale for an 8-0 mercy rule result.  Sophomore Peyton Duncan commanded the Blue Hose defense to atone for the team's Game 1 loss less than 24 hours earlier, limiting Longwood to only one hit through the first six innings and picking up one of the most impressive wins of her young career.

Game 2 - Sophomore right-hander Maggie Chapin hurled her fifth complete-game shutout of the season, allowing just one hit, as the Longwood softball team posted an 8-0 victory in five innings over Presbyterian to split its Saturday doubleheader and win the weekend series at Lancer Field.  The Lancers walked off with a win against the Blue Hose for a second consecutive day when Lauren Fox beat out an bouncer to third base that scored pinch runner Kate Westmiller for the victory.
