Mercer won the battle of undefeateds on Wednesday, as the Bears defeated Furman, 17-11, to improve to 4-0 in Big South contests.  High Point won its third-straight, and Wofford picked up its second-straight victory.

MERCER 17, FURMAN 11 | BOX SCORE
Caroline Glus scored a career high five goals and Mercer outscored Furman 8-2 in the second half en route to a 17-11 win on the road over the Furman Paladins Wednesday night in Paladin Stadium.  Shots on goal were 27-15 in favor of Mercer. The Bears were also dominant in the draw circle winning 21 draws to Furman's 11. The Bears had 10 caused turnovers on the night, led by Sarah Leahy with three.  Caroline Glus led the Mercer attack with five goals and one assist. Eight different Mercer players accounted for the 17 goals. Freshman Ansley Walters and Kayla Soltys each had hat tricks in the game. Soltys led all players with nine draw controls.

HIGH POINT 21, PRESBYTERIAN 4 | BOX SCORE
For the third straight game, the High Point University women's lacrosse team netted 20 goals en route to a Big South Conference victory as the Panthers bested Presbyterian College 21-4 Wednesday night.  The win keeps the Panthers undefeated versus the Blue Hose, winning their 15th all-time and third straight conference game this season. In those trio of consecutive wins, HPU has netted 20 goals while 10 or more players have scored.  Coming into the matchup, the Panthers were ranked sixth in the nation in shot percentage (.495) and they showed exactly why. HPU netted 11 goals in the first quarter for the second straight game while Joy Coffey allowed one goal.  Jordan Miles, who eclipsed the 30-goal mark Wednesday, netted a first-quarter hat trick as Pia Cavallaro and Shannon Smith each had two apiece. Allie Connally and Kay Rosselli reached two goals each to start the second quarter as the Panthers took a 14-3 lead into half.

WOFFORD 20, WINTHROP 16 | BOX SCORE
On Wednesday afternoon, the Wofford College women's lacrosse team saw five players record a hat trick in a 20-16 win over Winthrop at Eagle Field. The Terriers had a 12-7 lead at the half after a strong second quarter and kept the advantage throughout the second half for the road victory.  Wofford (5-7, 2-2) was led by Carlie Cutinella and Laura Montagna with four goals each. Bria Foley had three goals and five assists for eight points. She now has 56 points which is a new single season record at Wofford, topping the previous mark of 49 by Olivia Abe in 2023. Carley Irvin and Emma Stalteri each had three goals.
