Gardner-Webb evened its series with Charleston Southern with a 6-5 win on Saturday. UNC Asheville, Presbyterian and High Point all clinched their respective conference series with a second win on the weekend.

The Gardner-Webb University baseball team won the second game of the their-three game weekend series at Charleston Southern University on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 6-5. The Runnin' Bulldogs overcame a two-run deficit in the final inning to earn the win. Tommy Tavarez. Got things started for GWU tripling in the third inning to score Ryan Kennell and Wade Kelly. He then scored himself from third on the passed ball. CSU was able to come back from three early runs down getting two across in the fourth on a fielder's choice and a sac fly, then three more in in the fifth with a two RBU single and another sac fly to take a 5-3 lead.

UNC Asheville Baseball secured a Big South Conference series win at Radford on Saturday (Apr. 13) with a convincing 7-1 victory. The teams stayed scoreless through three innings, before Asheville jumped out to a 5-0 lead with two runs in the fourth and three runs in the fifth. Cameron Johnson would lead off the fourth with a double to right, before a Corbin Lanowitz single through the right side would put runners at the corners with no one out. Dylan Bacot would single to left to score Johnson and push Lanowitz to third, before Lanowitz would come home on Michael Groves's third sacrifice fly of the season. Brock Mercado would lead off the fifth with a walk, before he advanced to third on a single to right field by Ty Kaufman. Robbie Burnett would single to center to score Mercado pushing Kaufman to third, before Johnson brought Kaufman home with a fly ball to center field coupled with a Radford error. Burnett would later score on a double to left center by Lanowitz to make it 5-0.

The Presbyterian College Blue Hose baseball team (18-17, BSC: 9-2) took a game two victory over the Winthrop Eagles (13-19, BSC: 4-7) on Saturday evening behind three home runs from three different Blue Hose players. The game opened with Charlie McDaniel delivering a flawless 1-2-3 inning, showcasing his pitching prowess right from the start. However, the bottom of the first inning belonged to Brody Fahr, who wasted no time making an impact by smashing a homer over the left field wall, swiftly putting his team ahead 1-0. Not to be outdone, Joel Dragoo stepped up as the next batter and matched Fahr's feat with his ninth homer of the season. In the bottom of the second inning, the momentum continued for the Blue Hose as Eli Lazio was hit by a pitch, setting the stage for Jay Wetherington's impactful double to right-center field. With runners now in scoring position on second and third base, a wild pitch allowed Wetherington to advance to third base while also bringing Lazio home for the team's third run of the day. Shortly after, Wetherington capitalized on a passed ball, showcasing his speed as he raced home to extend the Blue Hose's lead to four runs after just two innings.

The High Point University baseball team has won its fourth straight series and fifth game in a row as they beat Longwood on Saturday afternoon, 4-1. Brett Wozniak, the southpaw from California got the start on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Wozniak shoved six innings, allowing just one run, on six hits. He earned his fifth win of the year in his ninth appearance. The Panthers got on the board early in the second inning. Adam Stuart led off with a single and Charlie Klingler followed with another single advancing Stuart to second. Eric Grintz reached on a fielder's choice resulting in Klingler getting out at second and Stuart advancing to third. Brayden Simpson then drove a strike to left field scoring Stuart from third for the first run of the game.
