High Point picked up its first Big South win of the year with a 20-10 victory at Winthrop.  Mercer and Longwood also won on Wednesday to move to 3-0 in league action.

HIGH POINT 20, WINTHROP 10 | BOX SCORE
Allie Connally scored a career-high five goals, while Jordan Miles won a career-high 11 draw controls to lead High Point University past Winthrop University, 20-10, for the Panthers' first Big South Conference win of the season Wednesday afternoon.  It was the Panthers' 10th straight win over the Eagles as HPU deposited 20 goals behind 11 different goal scorers. The Panthers had four score their first-ever goal in Purple and White.  The Panthers started hot, hitting an 8-1 run in the first quarter. Esprit Cha got the party started with help from Mandy Brockamp while Miles netted a pair sandwiched between goals from Kay Rosselli and Connally. 

MERCER 25, GARDNER-WEBB 3 | BOX SCORE
Kayla Soltys had 16 draw controls and Gabby DiVirgilio scored five times as the Mercer Bears rolled to a 25-3 win at home over Gardner-Webb on Wednesday evening.  The Bears were in control from the start and never looked back. Mercer had a season high 47 shots to Gardner-Webb's 11.  Mercer had its best performance in the draw circle this season as the Bears won 25 of 31 draw controls in the game. Soltys highlighted the performance in the draw circle with a single-game program record, 16 draw controls.

LONGWOOD 15, WOFFORD 11 | BOX SCORE
The three-headed monster of Riley McDonald, Emily Cate Smith and Sophia Passa combined for a whopping 11 goals and eight assists, and Longwood lacrosse stayed unbeaten in Big South play. The Lancers (5-6, 3-0 Big South) took down Wofford 15-11.  While the tremendous trio did work on offense, freshman goalkeeper Cybella Smith also came on and made nine saves after halftime to clean up whatever got by Julia Koenig, Miranda Helfenbein and co. Longwood is now undefeated through three games in Big South play for the first time since 2014.
