Big South Announces Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - April 3

Katie Taylor (Tipp City, Ohio) was selected as the Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, while USC Upstate thrower
Jessa Beach earned Women’s Field Athlete of the Week honors. Charleston Southern’s
Freya Buglass (Trowbridge, England) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week.
Taylor finished fifth in the 10,000m run at the Raleigh Relays with a program-record time of 33:41.37 -- the second-fastest 10K performance in Big South history and just the second sub-34 minute effort in league annals.
Beach posted a distance of 53.83m in the hammer throw at the Raleigh Relays, which placed her 13th in the event.
Buglass ran a personal-best time of 4:37.57 in the 1500m run at the Raleigh Relays, which is sixth-best in CSU history. She also clocked in at 2:13.81 in the 800m.
