Winthrop Wraps Up Second Round Play at NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. — Freshman Logan Lutz paced the Winthrop men's golf team with a 3-over 75 in the second round of the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional on Tuesday.
Freshman Logan Lutz led the Eagles in the second round with a 3-over 75. Sophomore Mason Tucker had the second-lowest round by an Eagle with a 4-over 76. Through 36 holes, senior Nick Mayfield leads the Eagles in Par 3 scoring (+3). Mayfield and Tucker lead the team in Par 4 scoring (+7). Lutz leads the Eagles in Par 5 scoring at 2-under.
The Eagles will wrap-up play at the NCAA Regional with he final round on Wednesday, May 15. Winthrop will begin teeing off at 9:50 a.m. (PST) off the first tee and are paired with Seton Hall and individuals from Pepperdine, Cal-State Fullerton, and Seattle.
