In the series opener against UNC Asheville, he carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning, contributing to the team's record-setting 17-0 shutout victory.

In conference play, Eagen started eight games, pitching 47.1 innings with a 5-1 record and a 2.66 ERA. He struck out 76 batters, held opponents to a .160 average, and allowed just 26 hits and 14 earned runs.
