Big South Announces Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week - Sept. 11
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – USC Upstate’s Ian Kelbert (St. Augustine, Fla.) has been named the Big South Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, and teammate Cameron Moors (Mauldin, S.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week for meets ran the weekend of Sept. 5-8, it was announced today.
Kelbert just missed a top-10 finish at Upstate’s Eye Opener meet, as he finished 11th out of 166 runners at last Friday. His 8k time of 25:32.28 was good for first amongst Spartan runners, and led the squad to a fifth-place finish out of 18 teams.
Moors had a strong showing for Upstate at its home meet with a personal-best of 26:59.11 in the 8k race. His effort earned him 42nd-place overall and was part of the final team score.
