Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - Sept. 12

Katie Stephens (Middlesbrough, England) has been named the Big South Women’s Golfer of the Week, while High Point’s
Anais Arafi (Birsfelden, Switzerland) is the Women’s Freshman of the Week for events played Sept. 5-11, it was announced today.
Stephens was the runner-up at the Golfweek Fall Challenge (par 71, 6,029 yards) with a 6-under 207 (70-66-71). She finished one stroke behind the winner, was -4 on the par-5 layouts, and led the 93-player field with 17 birdies. Her second round 66 was a career-low.
In her first collegiate tournament, Arafi posted a 54-hole score of 230. She carded a 72 and 75 in the first two rounds to count among HPU’s scorers, which helped the Panthers maintain the fourth position among the 18 teams competing.
