HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University Vice President and Athletic Director Dan Hauser announced the hiring of Logan Davis as the new HPU men's golf head coach on Friday afternoon.
"I am thrilled to secure Logan Davis as the High Point University men's golf head coach," HPU Vice President and Athletic Director Dan Hauser said. "From the initial discussions I had with Logan, it was obvious that he was a winner and has the leadership skills to elevate our golf team to championship success. Last year 9 of our 12 head coaches earned conference coach of the year accolades, and I'm excited for Logan to replicate this success as our HPU men's golf head coach!"
Davis becomes the sixth men's golf head coach in program history. He takes over the helm after coaching two seasons at his alma mater Texas State University.
"I am very honored and excited for this great opportunity to coach the men's golf program at High Point University," Davis said. "I want to thank Dan Hauser,
Kim Grissett, and the entire HPU athletic staff for making me feel welcome. I can't wait to meet the team and get to know the players. This is an exciting opportunity for me personally, and I am looking forward to growing the program and representing High Point University."
