Big South Announces Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week - Sept. 25

Ian Kelbert (St. Augustine, Fla.) has been named the Big South Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, and teammate
Jason Heusinger (Goose Creek, S.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week for meets ran the weekend of Sept. 19-22, it was announced today.
Kelbert led the Spartans at the Converse Kickoff where he placed 30th out of 225 runners in the 8k run. His time of 26:03.72 helped Upstate to an eighth-place team finish at the event.
Heusinger ran a PR in the 8k with a time of 27:23.87. His effort was third-best on the squad, as well as four seconds faster than his previous best, which was set earlier this month at Upstate’s Eye Opener.
