Big South Men's Basketball Round-Up - Jan. 22

Three of the four road teams picked up Big South wins on Wednesday night.  High Point won at USC Upstate, UNC Asheville won at Gardner-Webb and Longwood won at Radford.  Presbyterian defended its home court with a victory over Charleston Southern.

HIGH POINT 86, USC UPSTATE 77 | BOX SCORE
The High Point University men's basketball team cruised through two halves of action with USC Upstate and picked up the 86-77 win on the road.  The Panthers set a new program record in the first half after draining 11 three-pointers as a team. D'Maurian Williams led the way tying his career-high with six made threes to finish with a game-high 22 points.
 
UNC ASHEVILLE 61, GARDNER-WEBB 53 | BOX SCORE
The UNC Asheville men's basketball team shot 55.2% from the field and went 5-8 from 3-point range in the second half to erase a nine-point deficit at halftime and defeat Gardner-Webb on the road Wednesday evening, 61-53. 
 
LONGWOOD 77, RADFORD 74 | BOX SCORE
Road wins are like gold this year in the Big South, and Longwood men's basketball struck it rich on Wednesday night at Radford.  The shorthanded Lancers (15-6, 4-2 Big South) refused to fold and handed Radford (13-8, 3-3 Big South) its first loss, 77-74, in the Dedmon Center this season.
 
PRESBYTERIAN 71, CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 61 | BOX SCORE
Behind three double-figure scorers and a strong defensive performance,  the Presbyterian Blue Hose (9-12, Big South: 2-4) topped the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (6-15, Big South: 2-4), 71-61, in the Templeton Center on Wednesday evening.
