USC Upstate handed Longwood its first Big South loss of the season on Saturday, and was joined in the win column by Charleston Southern, Radford and High Point.

USC Upstate knocked Longwood from the ranks of the Big South Conference unbeaten with a 46-45 win Saturday afternoon. Despite surrendering 30 turnovers and giving up 30 more field goal attempts than they took, the Spartans rode their strong defensive effort and efficient shooting to victory. Behind its defense, Upstate held the Lancers to 27.5 percent (19-of-69) shooting from the field, not yielding a made three-pointer—Longwood went 0-for-9 from long range—while shooting 48.7 percent (19-of-39) on its own end.
CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 57, UNC ASHEVILLE 52 | BOX SCORE
The Charleston Southern women's basketball team got over .500 in Big South play on Saturday with a 57-52 win over the UNC Asheville Bulldogs inside the Buc Dome. This snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Buccaneers against the Bulldogs.
RADFORD 62, PRESBYTERIAN 50 | BOX SCORE
The Radford women's basketball program used another strong defensive effort Saturday afternoon earning a road victory over Presbyterian 62-50. Cate Carlson (16 points) led the scoring efforts while Joi Williams (10 points) marked her seventh straight Big South game in double figures scoring.
HIGH POINT 73, WINTHROP 55 | BOX SCORE
Nakyah Terrell led the floor with 20-points as the High Point University women's basketball team cruised past Winthrop University,73-55, on Saturday afternoon.
