Big South Announces Men's Basketball Players of the Week - Jan. 27

Kobe Stewart (Augusta, Ga.) has been named the Big South Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Blue Hose guard
Iverson King (Lewisville, N.C.) is the Freshman of the Week honoree for games played Jan. 20-26, it was announced today.
Stewart averaged 22.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and shot 70.8 percent from the field (17-of-24) in two games last week. He tied as the team’s leading scorer with 16 points in PC’s win over Charleston Southern last Wednesday, and added four helpers, three boards and one steal. Stewart followed with a career-high 28 points (shooting 11-of-15 from the field and 6-of-9 from three-point range), in addition to five rebounds and two assists against Radford on Saturday.
King started both contests last week and averaged 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals. He grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds along with three steals and five points in Presbyterian’s win over Charleston Southern on Wednesday. King then matched his career high with 14 points against Radford on Saturday. For the week, he made 50.0 percent from the field (7-of-14), 50.0 percent from beyond the arc (2-of-4) and made all three free throw attempts.
