Three of the four visting teams picked up wins in Thursday's Big South openers, as Winthrop won at USC Upstate, Charleston Southern won at Gardner-Webb and High Point won at Radford.  Longwood rallied to defeat Presbyterian at home.

WINTHROP 63, USC UPSTATE 54 | BOX SCORE
Winthrop opened both 2025 and Big South play by downing USC Upstate Thursday night.
 
CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 67, GARDNER-WEBB 65 | BOX SCORE
It took all 40 minutes, but the Charleston Southern women's basketball team got it done on Thursday night, as they defeated the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs 67-65 on the road to begin 2025 and Big South play with a 1-0 record.
 
HIGH POINT 67, RADFORD 55 | BOX SCORE
The High Point University women's basketball team opened conference play with a road win at Radford, 67-55, on Thursday night.
 
LONGWOOD 68, PRESBYTERIAN 56 | BOX SCORE
The Longwood women's basketball team shot 59 percent in the second half, knocking down 9-of-10 shots spanning the third and fourth quarters, to beat Presbyterian, 68-56, in the Big South Conference opener Thursday.
