Longwood, High Point and Gardner-Webb won on Wednesday night to move atop the Big South standings at 2-1.  USC Upstate picked up its first league victory as well.

LONGWOOD 85, UNC ASHEVILLE 76 | BOX SCORE
Michael Christmas scored a career-best 27 points to lead Longwood to an 85-76 win over visiting UNC Asheville.  Christmas drained a career high six triples en route to his career high in points, but he also stuffed the stat sheet with eight boards and three assists.
 
HIGH POINT 93, CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 79 | BOX SCORE
On Wednesday night, the High Point University men's basketball team traveled to Charleston Southern University for a mid-week Big South matchup. After a strong first half, the Panthers kept the momentum and took to a 93-79 victory for the team's first road conference win of the season.
 
GARDNER-WEBB 89, WINTHROP 83 | BOX SCORE
Graduate guard Anthony Selden scored a team-high 20 points while leading the Gardner-Webb (7-9, 2-1) men's basketball team to an 89-83 win over visiting Winthrop University (11-7, 1-2) on Wednesday evening inside Paul Porter Arena. The Runnin' Bulldogs placed four scorers in double-figures on the night.
 
USC UPSTATE 77, PRESBYTERIAN 67 | BOX SCORE
Defending its home floor for the first time during Big South Conference, USC Upstate men's basketball held off a pesky Presbyterian squad Wednesday evening, earning its first league victory 77-67 at the G.B. Hodge Center. With the win, the Spartans improved to 1-1 in league play and the team's winning streak on its home floor in the series with the Blue Hose to four.
