Big South Announces Men's Golfers of the Week - Oct. 29

Matthew Lyons (Aurora, Ontario) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week, while Radford’s
CJ Peterson (Raleigh, N.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week honoree for events played Oct. 23-28, it was announced today.
Nordman tied for 14th at the Edisto Island Invitational with an 11-over 224 (75-74-75) to lead the Lancers to a fourth-place team finish. Battling the elements in Edisto Beach, S.C., Nordman closed the tournament with eight consecutive pars to finish as Longwood’s top scorer for the fifth time in five appearances.
Lyons tied for third at the ODU/Kilmarlic Intercollegiate (par 71, 6,554 yards) with a 1-under par 212 (69-71-72). He led the 82-player field with three eagles, tied for fourth in par-4 scoring (even), and was 2-under on the par-5 holes. Lyons helped the Lancers finish third in the 16-team tournament.
Peterson tied for 25th at the ODU/Kilmarlic Intercollegiate with a 6-over par 219 (70-71-78). He was Radford’s top finisher, and has been among the Highlanders’ top two scorers in each of the squad’s four fall tournaments. Peterson was 1-under on the par-5 holes and finished with six birdies overall.
