Big South Announces Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week - Oct. 8

Gavin Stevens (Chesapeake Beach, Md.) has been named the Big South Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, while teammate
Simon Triezenberg (Grand Rapids, Mich.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week for meets ran Oct. 2-5, it was announced today.
Stevens finished third at the Dill Family Foundation Pirate Cross Country Invitational Saturday morning with a PR time of 24:13.23. He was consistently at the front of the pack throughout the 8K race, and was the first Panther to cross the finish line -- just seven seconds behind the winner.
Triezenberg posted an 11th-place finish at the Dill Family Foundation Pirate Cross Country Invitational with a personal-best time of 24:46.03. He was HPU’s third-fastest runner of the meet, and helped the Panthers finish first in the eight-team event.
