Seedings and Pairings Announced for 2025 Big South Men's Soccer Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – For the third consecutive year, High Point University is the Big South Conference Men’s Soccer outright regular-season champion, and is the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament, it was determined following the conclusion of the conference season.  The top six teams in the final standings qualify for the league’s postseason championship, which will be contested Nov. 5, 9 & 15 at campus sites.  The Panthers finished the 2025 regular-season with 21 points and a perfect 7-0-0 conference record for their seventh all-time outright Big South title, and receive a bye into the Semifinals.
 
Defending Champion Gardner-Webb earned the No. 2 seed and bye into the Semifinals following its second-place standing with 16 points (5-1-1 Big South).  Presbyterian and UNC Asheville tied for fourth in the standings with identical 3-3-1 records for 10 points.  The teams played to a scoreless draw in the regular-season, and the tiebreak procedure reached the fourth step of goal differential in league matches to determine the higher seed.  PC was -2 compared to -3 for Asheville, and the Blue Hose will be the No. 3 seed, with the Bulldogs receiving the No. 4 seed.
 
USC Upstate was fifth in the standings with eight points and a 2-3-2 conference record to qualify for the Big South Conference Tournament for the first time since 2022.  Radford and Longwood tied for sixth with five points at 1-4-2, and the Highlanders clinched the sixth and final seed based on their 3-0 victory over the Lancers during the regular-season.  Radford is making its first postseason appearance since 2019.
 
The first round matches on Wednesday, Nov. 5, feature No. 4 UNC Asheville hosting No. 5 USC Upstate at 6:00pm, with No. 3 Presbyterian hosting No. 6 Radford at 7:00pm.  The Asheville/Upstate winner will travel to top-seeded High Point on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 6:00pm, while the PC/Radford victor will visit No. 2 Gardner-Webb on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 6:00pm.
 
The 2025 Big South Men’s Soccer Championship will be played at higher seeds throughout the tournament, and every match of the championship will be shown on ESPN+.  The Big South’s tournament champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship.  The full schedule is as follows:
