High Point's Brianna Malone Named 2025 Big South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year

Brianna Malone (Barrington, N.H.) has been named the 2025 Big South Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Malone finished 31st at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 6K time of 20:15.5, her season-best at that distance. She won her third-straight Big South conference championship on Oct. 31 with a winning time of 16:59.5 -- finishing first by 23.8 seconds to become just the sixth-ever three-time individual champion in league annals. Malone opened her 2025 season with a 15th-place finish at the Adidas XC Challenge on Sept. 19 with a time of 1706.5. She then ran in the competitive Paul Short Run on Oct. 3 and clocked a 20:21.2 to place 24th. Malone posted a sixth-place finish with a time of 20:29.3 at the Oct. 17 Panorama Farms Invitational. She was voted Big South Runner of the Week three times this season, and is the second consecutive High Point runner to earn Big South Runner of the Year distinction.
