Big South Announces Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Dec. 10
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) – The Big South Conference announced today its Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for competitions during the opening weekend of the 2025-26 season.
USC Upstate’s
Jeremiah Harris (Columbia, S.C.) was selected the Men’s Track Athlete of the Week, High Point’s
Cole Wilson (Burgessville, Ontario) was tabbed the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, and Upstate’s
Collin Bui-Hayes (Tampa, Fla.) earned the Men’s Freshman of the Week honor.
Harris ran the fastest 200m in the conference at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick Off with a time of 21.53 to finish seventh in the event. His performance ranks second all-time in school history.
Wilson won the heptathlon at the Liberty Kickoff with 5,725 points, as he placed first in the pole vault (4.82m), long jump (7.31m) and the shot put (14.73m). His score is tops in the nation, and was 47 points shy of his own Big South record set at the same meet last year.
Bui-Hayes placed seventh in the 60m at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick Off with a time of 6.88 seconds. It was the second-fastest 60m in the conference over the weekend, and fourth-fastest in program history.
