Big South Announces Women's Golfers of the Week - Feb. 13

Julia McLaughlin (Princeton, N.J.) has been named the Big South Women's Golfer of the Week, while teammate
Ambre Matlega (Paris, France) is the Women's Golf Freshman of the Week honoree for events played Feb. 6-12, it was announced today.
McLaughlin helped the Panthers win the eight-team Oyster Shuck Match Play tournament this week with a 3-0 record. She won her first match, 7&5 vs. The Citadel, then finished her second match against Gardner-Webb leading by two holes. McLaughlin won her final match, 7&5, as the Panthers defeated Samford for the title.
Matlega earned a 7&6 win over The Citadel, then powered through to a 6&4 victory against Gardner-Webb the semifinals. She fell two holes short in the final against Samford.
