Behind a career-high 18 points from Quadir Pettaway, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (11-16, Big South: 4-8) completed the season sweep of the defending Big South Tournament Champion Longwood Lancers (16-11, Big South: 5-7) with a 77-68 road win on Saturday evening.
GARDNER-WEBB 96, USC UPSTATE 87 | BOX SCORE
Sophomore guard Darryl Simmons II scored a game-high 27 points while leading the Gardner-Webb (10-15, 5-6) men's basketball team to a 96-87 win over USC Upstate (5-23, 1-12) on Saturday afternoon inside of the G.B. Hodge Center.
HIGH POINT 88, WINTHROP 66 | BOX SCORE
The High Point University Panthers played the Winthrop University Eagles in Rock Hill, S.C., on Saturday afternoon, and picked up a 22-point win. The Panthers have been clicking and are coming off two back-to-back double-digit wins, extending their win streak to eight. In the past two seasons under Head Coach Alan Huss, the Panthers are now 50-14, making Coach Huss the fastest head coach in Big South Conference history to win 50 overall games.
UNC ASHEVILLE 75, CHARLESTON SOUTHERN 72 | BOX SCORE
In front of the largest crowd in Kimmel Arena this season, the UNC Asheville men's basketball team defeated Charleston Southern 75-72 in a thrilling Homecoming victory. Saturday's win improved the Bulldogs to 19-7, 10-2 in Big South Conference play and 12-0 in Kimmel Arena.
