Big South Announces Women's Tennis Players of the Week - Feb. 19

McKenzie Davis (Florence, S.C.) has been named the Big South Women's Tennis Player of the Week, while Longwood's
Alexandra Magia (Athens, Greece) is the Women's Freshman of the Week honoree for matches played Feb. 10-16, it was announced today.
Davis teamed up with Mary Ellen Longmire to secure a 6-1 doubles victory against Alabama A&M that clinched the doubles point. In singles, Davis won both of her matches in straight sets playing at the No. 2 flight -- 6-0, 6-1 vs. Alabama A&M, and 6-3, 6-0 vs. Chattanooga.
Magia cliched Longwood’s 4-3 victory at UNC Greensboro on Saturday. She won, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 6 singles against the Spartans' Luna Urso. Her effort helped the Lancers win their third match in the last four and their second consecutive against UNCG.
