Big South Announces Men's Golfers of the Week - Feb. 27

Jeff Nelson (Commerce City, Colo.) has been named the Big South Men’s Golfer of the Week, while teammate
Dallas Johnson (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) is the Men’s Freshman of the Week for events played Feb. 20-26, it was announced today.
Nelson was the Medalist at the Dorado Beach Collegiate with an 11-under par 205 (65-71-69) for his first victory as an Eagle. He won by two strokes and posted the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history. Nelson was -8 on the par-5 holes, and tied for second among the field in par-4 scoring (-4), in addition to having 12 birdies and one eagle on his scorecard.
In just his third collegiate appearance, Johnson tied for 20th at the Dorado Beach Collegiate with a 2-under par 214 (72-75-67). His final round 67 was a season-best, as was his overall standing as well as his 54-hole score. Johnson tallied 11 birdies and was the squad’s second-highest finisher in the tournament.
