Winthrop Defeats Longwood on ESPNU Thursday Night, 85-59

FARMVILLE, Va. -- A late 15-0 run in the first half propelled Winthrop to an 85-59 victory at Longwood for the 20th win on the season, Thursday evening inside the Joan Perry Brock Center. Leading the way for the Eagles (20-10, 10-5 Big South) were Bryce Baker (23 points, 2 rebounds, assist, 2 steals), Nick Johnson (10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists) and Kasen Harrison (10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals). Winthrop finished with a season-high 16 three-pointers and the eighth time on the year the Eagles had 10 or more triples. Kelton Talford surpassed 1,800 career points as he finished the game with nine points, and added four rebounds to give him 899 in his career
Kyrell Luc (13 points, 2 rebounds, assist, steal), Johan Nziemi (10 points, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks, steal) and Michael Christmas (8 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, steal) led the Lancers on the night.
